Welcome to the Secret Society of Service Bureaus (“SSOSB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at secretsocietyofservicebureaus.com, our membership community, training materials, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are operated by Secret Society of Service Bureaus LLC, based in the State of Ohio, United States. You can reach us at admin@thessosb.com.
The Services are intended for tax professionals, tax software resellers, and service bureaus. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
To access most features, you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@thessosb.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Membership is offered on a recurring subscription basis. By purchasing a membership, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) until you cancel.
Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe and our platform partners). We do not store your full payment card details.
SSOSB is a private community. Training materials, resources, member directories, discussions, and other content shared within the community are provided for your individual professional use only. You agree that you will not copy, record, redistribute, resell, publish, or share this content with any non-member without our written permission.

All content we provide through the Services — including training materials, videos, documents, branding, logos, and the SSOSB name — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use this content for your own professional purposes while your membership is active. You receive no other rights.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as posts, comments, or profile information). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use it as needed to operate the Services. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you post.
The Services provide educational and community resources for tax professionals. Nothing in the Services constitutes tax, legal, accounting, or other professional advice, and nothing creates a professional-client relationship. You are solely responsible for the advice you provide to your own clients and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards, including IRS requirements. Any continuing education credit is subject to separate terms and applicable IRS/provider requirements.
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party tools and websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular business result will be achieved through membership.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Secret Society of Service Bureaus LLC and its owners, members, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Services at any time by canceling your membership.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Reply HELP for help or email admin@thessosb.com. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; after you send STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
